*Graduate Trainee Teachers in English and maths may be eligible for a FE Initial Teacher Training (ITE) bursary - GBP 25,000 Maths (min 2:2 classification) and GBP 9,000 English (min 2:1 classification).

The amount of group teaching will progress over the training programme and could be up to a full timetable in year 2 i.e. 24 hours per week.
Progress will be continually monitored and supported and Graduates will be assigned with a professional mentor.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for teaching and be expected to follow the Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers in Education and Training.
Graduates will eventually undertake all aspects of a Lecturer's job description and develop the skills and attributes of a qualified Lecturer. In addition, they may be required to provide cover as required for absent staff in the area.
Graduates will need to achieve a certain level of performance to progress from year 1 to year 2. This role does not guarantee a permanent post at the end of the programme.
